چکیده
LEIDIG) (MD) -An excellent arrangement of this work written in 1879 when Brahms was given an honorary doctorate by the University of Breslau. The work is built on German student songs; the songs are developed in a variety of tempos, styles, and moods. In the closing section, the melody is presented in a stately and dramatic manner, and the orchestra plays with full force, bringing the overture to a triumphant conclusion. ........ #33029

Oriented Framework For Overlapping Grid Applications
The Overture framework is an object-oriented environment for solving partial differential equations on overlapping grids. We describe some of the tools in Overture that can be used to generate grids and solve partial differential equations (PDEs). Overture contains a collection of C++ classes that can be used to write PDE solvers either at a high level or at a lower level for efficiency. There ...
متن کاملAre Pay for Performance Search Engines Relevant? Authors
Pay for performance (PFP) search engines, like their “traditional” counterparts (e.g. Google), provide search services for documents on the World Wide Web. These search engines however rank documents not on content characteristics but according to the amount of money a vendor is willing to pay when a user visits a Web site appearing in the search results page. A study was conducted to compare t...
متن کاملPETSc and Overture: Lessons Learned Developing an Interface between Components
We consider two software packages that interact with each other as components: Overture and PETSc. An interface between these two packages could be of tremendous value to application developers in that Overture provides a simple mechanism for generating the large, sparse systems of linear equations that correspond to discretizations of a PDE, and PETSc provides a powerful collection of methods ...
متن کاملSimulating Cognitive Complexity in Work Systems
The Brahms Generalized Überlingen Model (Brahms-GÜM) is a cognitive-behavioral simulation of aviation work practices that reveals how normally complicated situations become cognitively complex for people in a dynamic environment of malfunctioning tools and non-routine workload. Brahms-GÜM was developed by analyzing and generalizing the roles, systems, and events leading to an aircraft collision...
متن کاملOverture: Object-Oriented Tools for Overset Grid Applications
The Overture framework is an object-oriented environment for solving partial differential equations in two and three space dimensions. It is a collection of C++ libraries that enables the use of finite differ: ence and finite volume methods at a level that hides the details of the associated data structures. Overture can be used to solve problems in complicated, moving geometries using the meth...
